Let's drive!

On Monday May 17, I ran around prepping the 2 for road again.

The battery was dead so off to find a replacement.  Called Toyota and they start at $115. or something around there.  But while in Costco one day, I decided to check and see if they carried a battery that’d fit.  They do...$78.  I also checked Canadian Tire just to compare: $98.  Ok, let’s go for economical this time around and Costco Kirkland brand it was.

Next up was a day permit so I can get AirCare.  Whipped over to the Steveston AirCare station so I’d have the opportunity to open her up...

Then I decided to top up the tank with 92 Chevron...in Blaine. No problem with Nexus. Basically drove right through the boarder.  Normal line wait was 60 minutes.

On the way back into town I stopped by the Gardens of Gethsemani to visit my father.

Finally, I stopped by Mr.Lube in Richmond for an engine flush and oil change.  Never did that before for the 2 and highly unlikely I’d do it again.  I just really wanted a oil change that day as the last time it was changed was in 2008.  I should have made a prior appointment with Regency Toyota.

Bought 5 months insurance on Friday May 21.  Then went for a drive!
