Today, I took the MR2 home from it’s stay at The Speed Syndicate. Curtis & co. did a great job on the swap.
My MR2 now has a JDM Gen4 3S-GTE.

- Competition Clutch lightweight flywheel
- SouthBend S54 hybrid Stage 2 DAILY clutch
- Walbro 255 lph fuel pump
- MSD 8920 Tach Adapter
- Prime Gen4 3SGTE - 5SFE wiring harness conversion
- Greddy Profec Electronic Boost Controller
In addition, the following was replaced/done:
- OEM timing belt & water pump
- OEM throttle body, intake manifold & exhaust gaskets
- All washers & gaskets on parts that were disassembled
- New front engine mount
- OEM drive belts
- OEM Drive axle seals
- OEM AFR Sensor Primary
- OEM TPS Sensor
- Prime Spherical Shifter Bushing Kit
- OEM square metal shift linkage bushing
- Engine flush
- 5W30 synthetic oil
- Coolant flush & fill (Toyota Long Life Coolant)
- Redline Gear Oil MT-90 GL-4
- AC recharge
- 4 Wheel Alignment
- 94 octane from Chevron
Stock performance:
256 bhp @ 6200 rpm
239 lb-ft @ 4400 rpm
@ 13psi boost
But it’s not Stock.
