Swift Springs

I decided to go with Swift springs based on favourable reviews online.  Advertised front/rear drop of -30/-25 (mm). Linear rates of 168/314 lbs/inch front/rear.

Swift Mach Sport springs (Part #4H912) purchased online from Modern Automotive Performance on May 17, 2011.  Arrived in Blaine on May 23 and picked on June 4.

I had them installed at Advance Automotive in Richmond today.  59754 km on the odometer.  Front alignment also checked after. Only setting was that toe changed to 0”.

Initial impressions? I can tell it was lowered.  Not slammed but I wasn’t looking for that.

First drive: It does seem firmer. Not hard or jarring. Not bouncy. Subtle... Running over everyday street imperfections doesn’t seem much different from stock (but remember, stock was already firm). I wasn’t able to really push it but I can tell there is less dive, squat and roll.  It’s quite smooth.

Verdict? Quite pleased so far!

Initial front drop of about 31mm.  Rear drop only 6mm!? Strange, the car doesn’t look like it has much of a rake.  Did the stock springs sag?

Sure, it’d look better if it was lower, but I’m still using the stock dampers and I didn’t want to increase the risk of scraping the lip even more. Even with a drop of 31mm, I have to be wary of driveways and such...

Replaced OEM wheel center caps

The original wheel caps were rather heavily oxidized and not in great condition.  So I looked to replace them.  I tried to find second hand caps but didn’t have much luck finding ones that fit that didn’t cost as much as new.  So I went with new.

I purchased four Aluminum wheel Center Caps from www.hondapartscheap.com
